About Us


Leopoldo Enrico, known as L.E. to family and friends, was a child of an immigrant family from the old country. L.E.’s father and mother operated a butcher shop in Merchantville, NJ. They ultimately decided to introduce pasta and Italian sauce to the south Jersey residents in the 1930s.


Armed with a love of food and desire to maintain the family tradition, L.E. and his wife, Dolores, established L.E. Roselli's Food Specialties in 1969 on a property that was formerly a farm in Medford, NJ. Along with the help of friends and family, the couple transformed the site into a pristine kitchen where they produced lasagna and spaghetti sauces based on their family traditions. L.E. would travel to restaurants and grocery stores introducing his homemade products to potential customers, while Dolores would continue to refine recipes back in the kitchen. As the customer base grew in rural Medford, the couple opened a store­front where Dolores would greet customers who would swing by the market on their way home to pick up homemade Italian entrees.


In 1988 Leo and Dolores’ son, Leo Peter, joined the Roselli’s team. Leo continued to expand the line of products to include meatballs, vegetable lasagna, eggplant parmigiana, stuffed shells, and more. Leo also increased recognition of the brand by establishing national distribution of the sauces. Roselli’s bottled spaghetti sauces can now be found from Maine to Florida and Philadelphia to California. But with this expansion of the business, Leo never sacrificed quality. Each product is still created as the family did in their own home.


The third generation of Roselli’s is now poised to take the helm. Although still attending school, Matthew and Leo Charles, called L.C by his grandfather, are currently developing their own culinary skills in the kitchen and customer service acumen in the market. They have added items to the menu that their grandmother made for them each week for Sunday dinner: escarole and beans, broccoli rabe, Dolores’ balsamic dressing, tortellini salad, and a variety of green salads.


Throughout this expansion, Roselli’s remains a family­-owned company with an allegiance to high­-quality. They understand the demands of daily life and are committed to easing the load with pre-­made meals to share with your friends and family. Roselli’s provides the entire meal from soup to dessert and everything in between. Every product is preservative and additive free, and is known for authenticity and homemade flavor. All of this is to ensure we’re providing you and your family with only the finest and most flavorful meals.
